4月2日下午，万众期待的学生大会在习习春风中召开。此次大会是新学期国际课程中心开学来的第一次集体大会。
On the afternoon of April 2, the student conference was held in the spring breeze. This conference is the first group meeting in the new semester of the International Curriculum Center.
活动由国际课程中心学生处唐颖主任主持。她首先针对上学期的社团活动作出了总结，并提出了三个发人深省的问题：
The event was hosted by Director Tang. She first summarized the club activities of the last semester and raised three thought-provoking questions:
1、社团意味着什么？What do the clubs mean?
社团活动并不止是一个为了让学生放松身心而设立的活动。国际课程中心的学生在走向世界之前，必须努力培养自己的合作、交流等各项能力。在社团课中，学生需要与不同班级、年级，不同个性的同学合作，逐步懂得如何平等交流并尊重差异性。
Club activities are not just set up for students to relax. Students of the International Curriculum Center must work hard to develop their cooperation, communication and other abilities before they go abroad. In clubs, students need to cooperate with students of different classes, grades and personalities, and gradually learn how to communicate and respect different people equally.
2、社团纪律问题 Club discipline
社团活动并不意味着自由散漫。所谓“不以规矩，不能成方圆”，社团活动也应当有纪律、有组织地展开。良好的组织、管理才能让社团活动发挥最大的效用。
Club activities do not mean total freedom, they should also be organized and disciplined. Good organization and management can maximize the effectiveness of club activities.
3、社团活动与学习关系问题 The relationship between club activities and studying
社团活动作为学生发展兴趣、发挥特长的平台，不应影响和干扰课堂内的学习。学生应该学会处理学习与兴趣之间的关系，合理安排时间，做到相互促进。
As a platform for students to develop their interests and develop their specialties, community activities should not interfere with and interfere with learning in the classroom. Students should learn to deal with the relationship between studying and interest, arrange the time reasonably and promote each other.
随后，学校对上学期表现出色的社团干部和优秀社员进行了表彰。国际课程中心吴校长为优秀干部和社员颁发了奖状。
Afterwards, the school honored the outstanding club cadres and outstanding members in the last semester. President Wu of the International Curriculum Center presented awards to them.

接着，唐主任针对本学期的社团活动的安排进行了说明。相较以往，本学期社团活动时间有所增加，给予了同学们更多发挥特长的空间。社团主要分为文化传承、科技前沿、能力素养、文韬武略和国际视野这几大类。其中，机器人社在上学期通过师生的共同努力，参加了WER中国赛区的比赛，几位成员顺利过关并将冲击WER国际赛。另外，演讲与口才社也将为同学们提升中英文素养，为今后的中英文演讲及主持比赛打下良好基础。
Director Tang then explained the arrangement of the club activities in this semester. Compared with the past, club members now have more time to develop their interests. Clubs are mainly divided into five parts: cultural inheritance, scientific and technological frontier, competence, culture and strategy, and international vision. In the last semester, the members of robot club participated in the wer competition held in China with the joint efforts of teachers and students, Members of robot club successfully passed the wer international competition. In addition, the speech and eloquence club will also improve students’ Chinese and English literacy, and lay a good foundation for future speeches and competitions.
紧接着，唐主任向大家介绍了学生会招新的计划并鼓励同学们积极参选。学校通过学生干部的培养及锻炼，让每个同学都能参与到学校的管理和发展中来，都能成为国际课程中心的一份子，既磨练了自己，又培养了大家对集体的热爱和主人翁意识。
Next, Director Tang introduced the recruitment of student union and encourage the students to actively participate in the election.Everyone will get involved in the management and development of the school. Students will be a part of international curriculum center, enhancing sense of ownership.
与此同时，锡外人物评选活动也正如火如荼地举行。我们将不断发掘身边的典型，发挥榜样的力量，彰显国际课程中心学子的青春风采，敬请期待！
At the same time,the on-going selection of outstanding students in WXWGY is welcomed by the faculty . We will continue to explore typical role models and reveal their presence ,we'll see!
最后，吴校长为大会做出总结发言。吴校长表示，国际课程中心一直努力为学生的个性发展搭建平台，为学生培养兴趣、发挥特长、提升能力创造条件，培养学生综合实践的能力。社团活动的目的在于帮助同学们发展自己的兴趣、更好地认识自己、做自己的主人，希望大家可以在多元文化环境中健康成长。

Finally, President Wu made a concluding statement for the general assembly. President Wu said that the international curriculum center has been trying hard to build platforms for students' individual development.It has been providing opportunities for students to discover their interests and to bring out their best. The purpose of club activities is to help students develop their interests , know themselves better and be their own masters, so that they can grow up healthily in a multicultural environment.
